* NPPD public hearing on the R Transmission Line project, noon until 3 p.m. in the Thomas County Fairgrounds building at Thedford, and from 6 until 9 p.m. in the Brewster Community Center.

* Ainsworth Pizza Hut benefit buffet, 5 until 8 p.m., with proceeds going to the Ainsworth Women's Club to provide baskets for Brown County veterans.
