Church services

Ainsworth

* Ainsworth United Methodist Church: Worship service is broadcast at 11 a.m. on KBRB AM 1400. 106.3 FM and on the web at www.kbrbradio.com.

* Burton Assembly of God Church morning service airs at 8 a.m. on KBRB FM 92.7.

* Ainsworth Zion Lutheran Church: Church service broadcast on KBRB FM 92.7 at 8:15 a.m. The Lutheran Hour program airs at 12:30 p.m. on KBRB AM 1400 and FM 106.3.

* Some worship services may begin to be held in person once again as the state of Nebraska amends its COVID-19 Directed Health Measures. Check with your place of worship for updated information, as some churches are also streaming their services online.

* Wood Lake American Legion Post 202 Memorial Day service, 2:30 p.m. at the Wood Lake Cemetery. Those attending are asked to remain in their vehicles.

* The Stuart Stock Car Races scheduled for tonight have been cancelled, but organizers hope to begin holding races in June.

* Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, 7 p.m. in the Newport Gym.

* The Ainsworth American Legion Post 79 has cancelled its Memorial Day service, but asks the community to observe a moment of silence at 3 p.m. in remembrance of those who gave their lives for freedom and peace.

* Ainsworth's Monday garbage route will be picked up Tuesday due to the holiday.
